Nabaki Afrika is a founding member of the Tanzania Green Building Council and an early adopter of sustainable building products and practices. We’re committed to researching, tracking down, and introducing our customers to more planet-friendly options. We monitor our suppliers very carefully, assessing – where possible – their environmental ratings and credentials. Through such purposeful practices, we aim to nudge our customers towards more sustainable choices, wherever and whenever they’re available.
For 30 years, a green consciousness has underpinned all Nabaki’s major decisions, which is why we can proudly say today that we are greener than our competitors, and genuinely endeavouring to change our industry from within.
Our NGO, Nipe Fagio, established in 2013, extends our environmental work beyond Nabaki Afrika to impact the wider community. Nipe Fagio (‘Give me the broom’) aims to turn Tanzania into a clean and sustainable country, through proper waste management and pollution education that empowers young people, civil society, the private sector and the government.
